Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef or lamb
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1.5 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar (optional)

Make Mashed Potatoes
Boil potatoes until soft. Drain and mash with milk and butter until creamy. Set aside.

Cook Meat Filling
Brown the meat and onions in a skillet. Stir in tomato paste, broth, and frozen vegetables. Simmer for 10 minutes until thickened.

Assemble & Bake
Pour meat mixture into a baking dish. Spread mashed potatoes over the top. Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes until golden.
